Rugosa
Rugosas roses are native to North Asia. These are some of the hardiest of all roses: disease resistant, wind and salt tolerant, they can easily grow near the Ocean.
The large crinkled or wrinkled ("rugosa") leaves are dark green and turn into a golden yellow in autumn. Rugosas have reoccurring blooms from spring to autumn, with a few varieties giving large red hips during winter.
