This variety is still a bare-root plant, pre-ordered now for delivery in winter 2026. We still have plants growing in our fields, but will not propagate any more plants in future. They are being discontinued.

Please note that you’re ordering a bare-rooted rose, that will be dispatched Mid-July to Mid-September in 2026. Cancellation fees may apply.

Old Fashioned (bare rooted)

The fragrant magenta-crimson flowers, arranged in tight clusters, are produced continuously from mid-summer to autumn. The Portland Rose (Rose du Roi) is an excellent container plant, growing bushy, upright and almost thornless, with light green foliage.
